Some stores want Cart Whisper's tracking without showing anything to shoppers. A wholesale store might only follow up by phone, or you might just prefer a very clean cart page. You can hide the widget while leaving the app embed on.

Hide the widget

In Cart Whisper, go to Settings → Cart Widget and click Modify Cart Widget.

In the Cart Whisper Widgets embed settings, make sure the embed is still on. Don't switch the embed off. Cart Whisper needs it to run.

Set Cart widget style: to Hide Widget.

Click Save.

Also hide the exit-intent popup (optional)

Hiding the widget doesn't switch off the exit-intent popup. If you want nothing on show to shoppers, untick Enable popup under Cart Exit-Intent Popup settings in the same embed, then click Save.

What still works

Hiding the visible widget does not turn off the app embed. Your Widget Status on the Cart Whisper home page should still show Active. Make a test cart and check it in the dashboard; visibility is separate from data collection, which also depends on your store setup, visitor privacy settings and processing.

Show the widget again

Go back to the same setting and choose Simple Widget, Modern Widget or Modern Widget with Form, then click Save.

Troubleshooting

Widget Status changed to Inactive. The embed itself was switched off. Turn Cart Whisper Widgets back on and save.

A popup still appears. Untick Enable popup, as described above.
